Summer 2012

Well, it has been quite a while since I last posted on my blog.  It is difficult to keep up with so many forms of social media! Anyways, those of you who do not receive my newsletters are probably interested in what I have been up to this summer.

I graduated from Westlake High School on June 7th. I begin class at Santa Barbara City College on August 27th!  I went to Kauai with my family on a much needed surf vacation, and I surfed with Bethany Hamilton, the soul surfer!  Aside from vacations, I have been enjoying life at the beach in Ventura, and I have been able to hang out with my friends!

In between all of the summer fun, I've been making trips up to Stockton 99 Speedway for my double feature races in the #7 Modified.  I'm learning a lot as a driver, and my crew has been learning a lot as well.  Unfortunately, my motor has blown up two times this summer and it is keeping me from participating in races.  So, while we all patiently wait for the motor builder to return from vacation, I will busy myself with getting the JCR name out there in the racing world. After all, a racer can't just sit around and wait for opportunities.  I must make my own opportunities.
